::Holiday Feast::

Almost every month, my friend invites her friends over to her beautiful apartment for South African Wine party. I joined them for the first time in mid October and it was so much fun!

I wore a kimono last time.

It was a bit rainy this time, so I didn't wear a kimono, though.

My friend has a great taste of table setting. 

It was just a month before Christmas, so the table was set with holiday decorations.

Everything was soooo yummy! 

Since I wasn't in kimono this time, I couldn't stop eating...

Cheese cakes that one of the guests brought were so good as well!

My mother is super good at making chiffon cakes, so I had her teach me how to make one the other day and I tried.......

It didn't turn out to be as pretty as the ones she makes, but the taste was good!

My friend decorated my cake with maple syrup and powder sugar so it looked a bit better.

I need to practice more to be a chiffon cake master!

The time passed super quick while meeting new fun people and having yummy dinner with them.

I'm so happy to have people whom I can spend quality times with!

::Moroccan Party::

日本語ver. HERE

I had a wonderful time with my friends last Saturday. 

They came over to my place to see the fireworks by the river, and we had a little party with delicious Moroccan food that I made. 

I just bought a recipe book a day before and wanted to try some dishes on it! 

Here are what I made for that night :)

Hummus = Moroccan chickpea paste for appetizer.

I think my friends liked this one the most!

Moroccan omelette.

Super easy! Just took like 5 mins to make it.

And chicken tagine. 

I just fell in love with the aroma of coriander and cumin powder. 

Pumpkin cake and....

Italian affogato for dessert :)

I'm so glad they liked it!

Cooking for somebody is a great thing!

We also enjoyed the beautiful fireworks show this close after dinner.

It was such a fun night chatting and eating with some of my great friends!

I assume everybody who read my blog (Thank you!) knows

I love food soooooo much!

Here is my random food diary of these days.

After work, I planned to watch a movie in a theater,

so dinner must be done in about 45 mins.

Japanese dish "Oden" is the best fast (and healthy) food for such occasion.

Oden with beer.... I just love it!

And another weekend, my friend invited me to his home warming party.

It was so much fun :))

He is an amazing cook and made all of this for us.

Felt like I was at a nice Italian restaurant.

Capellini with raw ham.

Roasted pork.

Everything was so good that I couldn't stop eating and drinking....

Then another Friday night at a bar I found close to my place.

It's been a while since I came to a calm and mature place like this.

We had a nice chat with tasty appetizers and champagne.

Have you ever heard of Japanese cherry called "Sato-Nishiki"?

It is just in season now.

Japanese cherries tend to be very sour and not so sweet...

but this Sato-Nishiki was the sweetest that I've ever had.

Hope to have them again before it is out of season.
