★FIRST LOOK of 2017★

This is my second time to spend the New Year Day in kimono. I want this to be my New Year tradition :)

January 1st, 2017.

The weather was so beautiful★

I got up at 7am, had Osechi my mother and I cooked the day before for breakfast and threw on this beautiful kimono for the first visit to the shrine.

And after shrine visit, I joined the New Year Mochi party with my friends.

We made 10 kg of rice cake! It was so much fun!

HAPPY NEW YEAR★Hope your 2017 will be amazing and full of love♡

I spent my New Year holiday at my parents house for 5 days. 

The weather in my hometown was beautiful during my stay. 

My friends who are also from my hometown gave me a ride from Tokyo. Thanks!

No need to say but... they conquer you with this cuteness.

On New Year's eve, I helped my mother cook Japanese traditional New Year dish "Osechi"(Wiki).

Steamed chicken rolls. 

Simmered veggies and fish cakes. (Nishime)

Candied dried sardines. (Tatsukuri)

Each dish has a meaning, such as staying healthy, good harvest, happiness etc.... 

My mother is a good cook and make beautiful Osechi like this every year. 

Everything goes well with sake. We love having some sparkling sake on New Year's day.

After celebrating the New Year with Osechi for breakfast, we visited the shrine to send some greetings.

My mother and I also climbed up the hill behind our house to visit the small shrine that she always visits every month.

This place used to be my playground for years when I was younger. 

And it was my second time to spend the New Year's day in kimono.

How was your holiday?

I had a wonderful night with amazing people on Christmas Eve.

Lots of Santas came to celebrate at the party.

There wasn't any dress code but I wrapped myself in my new plain kimono.

A polyester kimono in steel blue.

Added some sparkly holiday feel with this obi.

I carried my Alexander Wang bag.

The obi is really soft so it was a little harder to create this big ribbon on my back.

But I didn't wanna look too flashy with the mish-mash tie I always do so wanted to keep it look compact like this.

Fox fur in light blue instead of a jacket this time.

(Actually I wore a raccoon fur tippet instead of this fox fur to the party.)

This is actually my very first and only polyester kimono I currently own. 

It's nice not to worry about it getting stained or dirty at parties or clubs where people are dancing like crazy. LOL

On Christmas day, I baked some homemade apple pies with the apples my mom sent me a couple of months ago. 

It was such a nice and calm holiday this year.

::Mood after Halloween::

Feels like it is already winter! Where did autumn go?

I have some favorite tailored collar jackets to wear in autumn but missed a chance to wear them!

Leaves already started turning red in my hometown. Need to get some warm blankets out of my closet.

After the Halloween craziness, the cities are already in a holiday mood.

I miss warm weather....

But I still am taking surf lessons! Maybe this weekend is the last lesson before I will go back to the beach though..... It's too cold!!!

New black basic boots for daily use :)

Since my BOSE earphones broke, I was debating whether or not I will send it to the customer service to get new ones. When I went to the retail store, I found out these new wireless soundsport earphones were released at the end of last month and got these instead!

The sound is so great. I totally recommend these ones if you are looking for good wireless earphones. Also good for iPhone 7 owners since it doesn't have an earphone jack.

As the weather got a bit too cold to dive into the ocean, I decided to start Kaatsu training with my friends. Working hard for the next summer!!!

Although Kaatsu training does not require any change of eating habit, I've been trying to choose healthier food to get better results.

Pure Japanese food is the best eating habit!! 

And.... homemade Danish bread. yuuuuum :)

And just one thing that's missing is this fluffy cuteness!
