::Vogue FNO Tokyo 2016::

日本語ver. → こちら

VOGUE Fashion's Night Out 2016.
The fashion event that I look forward to every year.

Italian DJ at Calzedonia

It seemed like a lot less people inside Omotesando Hills this year.
Last year, this place was so busy with a big crowd.

At LOVELESS, they give away these electric accessories every year.

PENDULE by Via Bus Stop.

A mini bottle of wine was served at Stunning Lure.

BOOOTS!!!!

I didn't have much time to look around the whole area this year but it seemed like the whole fashion festival was much smaller than last year.
Aoyama area was much more crowded and loud with lots of people drinking alcohol which is served at every store in the area. This year, it felt so quiet with lot less people.

The article on FNO last year HERE

Hope it will come back with lots of energy next year!

The early morning on the same day, I went to Enoshima beach for a surf lesson.

After the fun lesson, I dropped by Eggs 'n Things to have early lunch and kill some time.
and yes, my eyes are so red from the salty water.

Famous omelet with Canadian bacon and cheese.

Before heading back to Tokyo, I went to pick up the Hawaiian ring I ordered a month ago.

My very first made-to-order ring with 14K pink gold and a little diamond.

I had "PAUOLE KAI NALU" engraved inside the ring.
It means "endless ocean waves".

To remind myself to accept endless changing waves in my life.

::Crossed Fishtails::

日本語ver. → こちら

Happy Friday :)
Let me share the loose updo with easy three steps I tried for the night at Park Hyatt last week.

Details on the kimono look is here→★Emerald★

I had super long hair but recently had it cut, so my hair is about 2-3 inches longer from my collar bones.

Here are my poor drawings of three steps. Hope these help! lol
1) Gather all the hair above your ears to make a small ponytail. Split the hair above the elastic band and flip the tail through it from outside to inside. Pull the hair at your crown to give it some volume on top.

2) Split the rest of hair including the flipped tail into two equal sections and braid them into fishtails. Stretch and massage each fishtail to give it volume and make it look bigger.

3) Cross both fishtails and pin them just below the flipped tail to hide the elastic band.

And your done!
 (sorry for this blur photo.)

I posted the article about the fishtail updo which is a kind of similar to the above updo a couple of years ago.
Click the link below to see it if you are interested.

If you are not used to fishtail braids, you can just do the normal 3 strands braid instead.
Give it a try!

::Emerald::

日本語ver. → こちら

The end of summer 2016.
Lots of my great friends and I had a gorgeous party at Park Hyatt Tokyo.
The dress code was "semi-formal" so I chose to wear kimono.

The beautiful view of Tokyo from 39th floor of Park Hyatt,

The party was from 8 pm and it feels like autumn during the night so I chose to wear a hitoe kimono.

Emerald milky way :)

Paired the checkered obi in the lucky color of this year☆

Zouris that I got for my birthday a couple of years ago.

Total look :)

I carried the pelican clutch bag by Alexander Wang

Staircase by the ballroom where we had a party in.

Park Hyatt Tokyo is ranked as a 5 star hotel.
The full course dinner was so delicious.
I was so touched with the name card prepared for everyone's seat.

It was such a luxurious night.
So glad that I got to be a part of it.

Here is the dazzling look with the same kimono I did about a year ago for Vogue Fashion's Night Out in Omotesando.

(Sep. 2015)

It is a bit sad that summer is almost over.
But the best season for kimono is coming back again! :) :)
