::Dutch Snail Updo::

日本語ver. → こちら

Here is my second non-professional hairdo tutorial to share with you!
I call this look "Dutch Snail" myself cause the dutch braid looks like a snail when it's done.

I wore this updo for my museum day in this kimono.
Jump to this LINK to read the whole post about this look if you are interested.

Whoever has hair longer than the collarbone can re-create this look.
The shorter your hair is, the bun becomes smaller.

First, create a fat dutch braid from the top of your head to the end.
If you don't know how to do dutch braids, there are so many tutorials on YouTube that you can learn from.

Braid by cooperating all the hair into one strand.

After all of your hair are braided into one strand like this, keep on braiding to the end.

Yep.... my braid can be this long.... and tie it with an elastic band like so.

From the top to the end, stretch the braid to both sides to make it more voluminous.
If you have shorter hair, this is an important step to make the braid fuller and the bun bigger.

Create a bun by twisting the braid like a snail and pin it in place.

And it's done!

It looks differently from each side.

From behind.

RIGHT.

LEFT.

This updo is suited for party and/or romantic styles.
Add your favorite hair accessories as you like :)

Thank you for reading.

xoxo
Lynn♪
