::Fes Look:: Ultra Japan 2015

My friend texted me a couple of weeks ago saying, "Are you interested in Ultra Japan 2015?".

I was a lil bit curious about this whole music festival craze here in Japan which came from Europe and North America. 

She got me a pair of one day passes and another friend of mine and I got to have our first experience at Ultra Japan. 

The party started at 11 am each day. 

When we got there, the ground was already shaken by the loud music that was played.

They had three stages in site.

The main stage was awesome too but my favorite was "RESISTANCE" stage where more chic and mature sounds were played.

Yep.... and we definitely needed some drinks before it gets dark...

He was awesome! I could stay there for a couple of more hours dancing to what he plays.

The main area was jammed with so much energy! 

It was an amazing and extraordinary night that I've ever experienced :)

It's always great to do something new!

Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence by Ryuichi Sakamoto

My most favorite composer in the world.

This is a theme song of the movie "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence".

This is actually not a happy song 

cause the story is about how soldiers spend their Christmas at a battlefield.

But this is still a beautiful song that I can repeatedly listen to.

Christmas songs are everywhere in cities around this season,

but I think it is good to have your own Christmas playlist with you.

::Live at Yaon:: & ootd

Last weekend at Yaon (Ourdoor Auditorium in Hibiya, Tokyo).

We went to see a live performance of oldie rock bands.

with my new Ash sandals. :))

OOTD: Dholic top, Zara shorts, NIne West clutch, Le Ciel Bleu leather jacket.

It feels great to listen to live music in the nice weather.

People seemed to enjoy it with beer in their hands.

::La Folle Journee au Japon::

Another festival that I look forward to every year.

La Folle Journee au Japon is one of the biggest classical music festival in Tokyo.

The entire area of Tokyo International Forum is reserved for this,

and so many performers come here and play from all over the world.

My friends and I got tickets for the very last concert in the biggest concert hall.

They have many stands that serve alcohol and food.

We picked up some dinner before the concert.

I got red wine and tasty Indian Chicken Wrap :)

The last concert started at 8:45pm.

They played a piano concerto composed by Ravel 

,and some other pieces with a famous castanet player, Lucero Tena.

It was supposed to end around 9:30pm,

but Lucero kept on appearing on the stage and played couple of pieces as encores

, the stage ended around 10pm.

She was really frank and fun!

After the concert, we stopped by a mexican diner for a drink.

It was such a nice day spending quality time with my friends and beautiful music.

::Ralyzzdig Night::

Yuichiro Tokuda, a friend of mine who is a graduate from Berklee

and a great saxophone player had his last live performance

before his jazz tour in Jordan next month.

It was a great night!

Before we headed to the club, we had a nice seafood dinner.

These oysters are the biggest that I've ever seen!

I loved it.

The place where he played this time is called "All of Me Club" in Roppongi.

Almost all the seats were reserved for those who came for his performance.

Cosmopolitan and Jazz... feels good :)

::The Professor::

Last Friday was unforgettable!

I was looking forward to seeing Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Playing the Orchestra 2014" concert

at Santory Hall Roppongi, Tokyo.

He is one of the greatest contemporary music composer from Japan,

and the pioneer of electro music as a member of YMO.
He is known as Kyo-ju (meaning a professor in Japanese).

Many of his works are used for movies, commercials and TV shows.

I always wanted to see this concert since I found out I missed this last year.

The view from my seat was great.

You can hear sound flies beautifully from the stage.

Famous pieces of his "The Last Emperor" and "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence"

were breathtaking.

The entire show was too great to let myself blink.

I already can't wait to see him play again.

Live music definitely nourishes my inspiration.
