::Weekend at Jindaiji::

We went to have some soba noodle for lunch on Valentine's day.
There is a temple called "Jindaiji" in Hachioji, Tokyo.
This place is famous for the local soba noodle, Jindaiji soba.

One of the most popular soba restaurants there, Yusui
People were making a line in front of this entrance
and we waited for about 10-15 mins before they led us to our seats.

Their menu at the entrance.

I had soba noodle with some tempura.
I'm from Nagano which is also famous for soba noodle.
In my opinion, soba tastes the best when served cold like this than in warm soup.

A guy making soba in a show window.

We found a water mill wheel on the way to Jindaiji temple from the restaurant.

There were many street stalls where lots of Japanese sweets are sold.

Dango, Japanese dumplings.

I drew a fortune telling paper inside the temple.
Seems like some good things waiting ahead if I stay true to myself.

I got Amazake, sweet drink made from fermented rice,
which I hadn't had for a long time!
It was so much sweeter than I expected and I couldn't finish it all.

Later this day, we headed to a movie theater to see "Fifty Shades of Grey".

Actually it wasn't a movie I would recommend to someone...
This story was better and sexier only in written words in my opinion.
I liked the music in this movie though.

So this is how I spent my Valentine's day this year.
How was yours?

Thank you for reading.

"Gone Girl" time later this day.

the theater was almost full.

Quick ramen dinner on the way home.
While I was writing this post, I realized I ate too much this day....
But yes, good food makes my life better!

::Favorite Love Stories::

Love stories are girls' best heart warmer in winter.
I love watching love stories on screens in this romantic season.
Here are some of my favorites :)

::The Painted Veil::

for those who feel their relationships might be falling apart.
I love Naomi Watts in this movie.

::Restless::

Young pure love :)
Mia Wasikowska is so cute with pixie cut hair.

::A Walk To Remember::

Mandy Moore and Shane West.
I saw this movie when I was still in school.
Written by the author of "Notebook" "Last Song" and "Safe Haven".

::Jane Eyre::

Another romantic story with Mia Wasikowska.
This story was thought to be groundbreaking
in the era when women never spoke out their thoughts in public.

::Love Is All You Need::

Comical love story in Italy.
This movie makes you dream traveling to beautiful Sorrento.

::The Bridges of Madison County::

One of the best romantic movies in history
with Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood.
Every time I see this movie, my heart feels tightened.

and more!!!
I can't list them all here.

It is going to be great to watch any of these
with some blankets and hot coco :)

What if you can access to 100% of your brain???
It was an interesting film.

Quick lunch before the movie.

::Shopping on a Rainy Day::

Hi :))
It was raining so hard in Tokyo last weekend.
There is not much to do on rainy days..... other than shopping and movies
We decided to go for furniture shopping and "The Grand Budapest Hotel".

Walking around in IKEA is always fun :)

I love this bean bag!
but wish it would come in different colors.
This is so comfy.

ZARA HOME always nourishes my eyes.

I want my dining area to be like this one day.

::must-see list:: heart warming love stories

Watching movies and having imaginary trips in my mind is
my way to spend time alone.
Motion pictures have given me so many inspirations and
shown what is/was catching people's eyes around the time those films were made.
I've already seen about 30 movies this year, so....

Here are some films I've seen and liked recently....

Before Midnight

Main actors: Julie Delpy & Ethan Hawke
Third one of a trilogy.
If you haven't seen "Before Sunrise" and/or "Before Sunset"
you've missed one of the best love stories in the world!

Love is All You Need

Main actors :  Pierce Brosnan & Trine Dyrholm

The Great Passage (舟を編む)

Main actors : Ryuhei Matsuda & Aoi Miyazaki

This one is about a man who spends 13 years to create a new dictionary.
Romance between him and his wife might feel a lil bit strange for people from different cultures.

Restless

Actors : Mia Wasikowska & Henry Hopper

Young love with a girl who has only a little remaining to live.

If you have time, please check out these trailers :)

Warm up your heart right before Valentine's day!

Thanks for reading!
