::Celebrating a New Year::

日本語ver. HERE

A Happy New Year!!!
Hope everybody is having a nice start of a brand new year :)
The first thing we gotta do to celebrate a new year in our traditional way is
to visit a shrine.
This has to be done for my fresh start of a year.

Since we went to Senso-ji at the end of 2014,
we chose one of the biggest shrines in Tokyo, Meiji-jingu shrine.
Even though it was already the 4th of January,
there were so many people visiting there.

I wore my favorite antique kimono in festive color of red and gold.

Love this silver needlework on the beautiful flowers.

To make this look more festive,
I chose the gold Obi with flowing water motif.

And added some hint of purple.

Variety of charms against evils.
My family always gets one of those arrows to keep evils away from home.

Fortune telling paper of this year.

I love this shrine with lots of green.
It's always so refreshing to walk here.

Must-eat food for the new years.
Sweet hot soup with rice balls and red beans.

We also dropped by Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi for some shopping.

Wish the year of 2015 will be a great one for you!

xoxo
Lynn♪
