Hello autumn!!
This summer was crazy hot and finally the weather feels like autumn is finally here.
Last weekend, a friend of mine who's a saxophone player had a concert at Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall. So my friends and I went to see their awesome performance☆
September (and maybe the first half of October) is the only chance that I can wear hitoe (kimono without a lining), so I threw on one of my favorites.
This kimono gives you some spacey feel but what is hand-printed on it is trees.
I chose all the pieces in shades of purple and grey with an accent of vivid pink.
Purple leopard sash between kimono and obi.
Zouris in light grey with a hint of purple.
My hairdo didn't look good, so I just added this head piece to hide it. :P
My friend who also came to the concert took this beautiful photo at the beautiful antique staircase of the hall.
The concert was awesome. Yuichiro Tokuda's Ralyzzdig band is finally releasing a new album after 5 years since the last one.
Some pieces were written for a planetarium program last year and they are so beautiful.
It is going to be released on October 3rd 2018.
Welcoming a new season is very exciting for me, and especially autumn is more exciting because it is going to be more comfortable to wear kimono in autumn and winter.
When I chose to wear this kimono last weekend, I realized it has been almost a year since I wore it last for my sister's wedding in the states.
I miss it there and my family back in Oregon.
