::Kimono Show::

日本語ver. → こちら

A friend of mine from Kyoto kindly invited me to an amazing kimono show at Kimono Salone in Nihonbashi, Tokyo last weekend.
Yasuo Aono from Aono Koubou (青野工房) is one of the kimono artisans who creates modern and playful kimonos in the most graceful way. When I started wearing kimono a couple of years ago, I was net-surfing in search of great kimono artisans and found his collections which caught my eyes. I'm so honored to finally see his creations on runway.

Every piece was so beautiful that everyone can fall in love with.
Yasuo Aono himself is also a musician and the background music was all beatles :)

With the designer, Yasuo Aono.

After the show, my friends and I had fun seeing some workshops provided by kimono artisans.

My new friend from Saudi Arabia tried reeling silk off cocoons.

Beautiful kimono with gorgeous lilies displayed.

Actually it was my first time to visit Kimono Salone. It was so much fun learning about kimonos with my friends there.

::Autumn Walk::

日本語ver. → こちら

October, mornings and nights get so much cooler but a bit too early for red leaves. It is the best time to wear my falling leaf kimono.

I went out to have some more photos taken in Daikanyama last weekend in kimono this time.

Listening to EDM on train in happy mood♪

Pyracantha, bearing fruit. A sign of autumn.

When we were shooting in a park, many kids were in Halloween costumes and playing together. My kimono was accidentally in pumpkin colors so I felt like I was a part of them. Should I get some Hallween obi to pair with this kimono?

Thanks to Hiroaki Saito for the above photos

I wore this kimono to see my friend's photograph exhibition last year with a different obi.

::Sakura::

日本語ver. → こちら

I don't have much knowledge about Japanese paintings, or paintings whatsoever, but my mother had been wanting to take me to Hiromitsu Kato's exhibition.
He was having his exhibition in Omotesando area from Oct. 6th to 12th, 2016.

My mother was in Tokyo last weekend so finally I got to see his paintings through my own eyes.

Calmness and intensity exist together in one room.
That's the expression I got.

Just peaceful and beautiful :)

With Hiromitsu and his wife Tomoko.

Close up look of the cherry blossoms.

Hiromitsu is super friendly and energetic. I had so much fun talking to him while I was there.
I'm looking forward to seeing them again sometime soon!

::Tweed by Sumire Ishioka::

日本語ver. → こちら

Been a while since I posted last! The weather was so glumpy during the whole month and so didn't get a chance to wear any kimono.
Maybe it is time to get a polyester kimono for rainy days?

Anyway, October is one of the most exciting months through a year because many exhibitions and presentations from my favorite kimono brands are held to start the kimono season (Oct.-May.)

One of the kimono artists, Sumire Ishioka, that I follow was having her very first presentation at Daikanyama last weekend. I was so excited to finally see her creations.

photo borrowed from Sumire Ishioka's facebook.

She makes beautiful kimonos with her original tweed fabric. She recently graduated from a kimono school and started off her brand by creating a tweed kimono art book last year.

In addition to her original tweed, she also buys some fabric used for CHANEL from Europe.
Aren't they so beautiful????
I tried on one of these kimonos and felt so comfortable in it.

Color samples.

Sumire Ishioka, the designer.

When she launched her art book, I went to see the exhibition but couldn't talk to her there.
It was so heartwarming that she remembered me there and finally we could talk to each other.
She is such a sweet woman that I really admire.

This vivid pink guy showed me his fur collection and he is super funny... LOL.
Blue fox snood was tempting to me though...

Theeeeese cute zouri!!! I love them so much.

Photo borrowed from her facebook feed.

I'm already looking forward to seeing her next season.

Check out her website or facebook to see the details of her creations!

Thank you for reading.
