::Oregon Coast::

日本語ver. → こちら

On the following day after the wedding, my host father and mother drove me to Oregon Coast♡
I didn't realize there are some great surfing points on Oregon coast but I didn't even wanna think about going in because of the super cold water. You need a full wet suit to surf there even in September.

After about 2 hours of drive, here we are!
I think it has been more than 10 years since I went there last. My friends from college took me there before I left after graduation.

The coast area was pretty busy with lots of people who came to see the classic car show that they had on the weekend.

I don't know much about classic cars but some of them were really cute♡

Saxophone player at the beach :D

For late lunch, we had some good sea food :D
It was around 2 or 3 pm so there were nobody when we were there.

Fish and chips with stella♡
Coleslaw had kale in it :)

And after, we drove a little bit more to Canon Beach.

The wind was pretty cold already and people were wearing jackets.
I don't remember seeing the famous rock before but yeah, finally saw it this time.

The sands felt so much finer than them in Shonan area in Japan.
I was running around the beach on barefoot.

On the way back to the car, Dad and I went in a local ice cream shop♡
This huckleberry one was so delicious. Wish we had huckleberries in Japan.
And Dad is a big fan of chocolate.

And on the way home, we drove along the coast to see this view♡

Woahhhh....
The wind became really chilly but it made the air so clear.

What a beautiful sunset.
We could just keep watching it until the sun was gone.

During this trip, I had more time to spend with my family and friends than my last trip.
It was nice to see how much the town has changed since I left.

One day, we went to their favorite french place for breakfast.

Yumyum....

I even got time to spend some time with cute little monsters.

Molly, the worrying dog.
I took her for a walk in the morning and she always looks back to make sure I'm with her. So cute...haha

And they have a beautiful black cat in their backyard.

She's named after Bagheera from Jungle Book cause she's so big that she can chase and eat Molly.

I had American dinner (pizza and beer, of course) with the family and played dominos on my last day.

It was so much fun :D

I miss them already and wanna go back there soon♡

Thank you for reading!

::Midnight Forest::

日本語ver. → こちら

So, I was in Portland, OR. for my (host) sister's wedding. I was so happy to be back there to celebrate her new start with her lovely husband.
We are the same age and I spent so much time with her on our sophomore year at high school.

I was so glad and honored to be invited as a part of her family.
The theme colors of their wedding were navy blue and burgundy. I didn't know until I got there for the rehearsal but I happened to have my nails in burgundy :D

The aisle ♡

For this happy occasion, I chose to wear my newest kimono♡

A "hitoe" kimono with a pattern of forest in midnight blue gradation.

With a silver checker obi.

Romantic summer collar with lions and flowers.
Fake collar with a gold hem and a checkered pattern.
In our culture, a kimono with more layers has been considered to be more formal. So nowadays we give a look a higher rank by adding fake collars like this.

Total Look★
I love how this kimono looks like the cosmos rather than forest. But Oregon is a beautiful state which is rich in nature, it was something meaningful to wear this kimono :D

Shoes with a snake-like thong.
Snakes are symbolized as good fortune, right?

Carried my Whiting & Davis clutch.

It was still warm during the day in Oregon, but autumn was definitely coming. Leaves had started turning red. I almost wanted to stay longer to see beautiful views full of red leaves.

The wedding was so lovely♡
The venue was in the building with a long history as a playhouse and a theater.

I loved seeing guests dancing and enjoying themselves at the wedding cause we don't have a culture of dancing during a wedding in Japan.

I was so happy to be there!!!

Thank you for having me, Nina and Will.
Congratulations! Wish you both for more happy years to come♡
