::Summer Hair::

日本語ver. HERE

My recent hair styles for mid-summer.

Since rainy season finally went away from Tokyo, the weather is not as humid as before so that curls stay for all day!

Big messy hair bun is always easy and one of the best hairdos that I do during summer.
This year, I wore the same hair bun for a kimono look as well.

Kimono look with the same hair bun and hair band.
Take a look HERE for details of this look.

I bought these beautiful hair accessories at Otsuka Gohuku-ten the other day.
I should definitely wear these for a firework show in Edogawa area this weekend!

Thank you for reading.

::Rain Forest::

日本語ver. HERE

RAIN FOREST by Roccoya!!! My brand new yukata I got this year.
This is my very first kimono made out of cotton and linen.
It feels much lighter than those which are made of 100% cotton.

<ootd>
Kimono (yukata) : Roccoya
Obi : Umeya
Obi-jime & Obi-age : CHOKO

I also wore the same Obi and Obi-jime for this Lime Light look.

Link to the post about the day I purchased this kimono HERE

Super easy mishmash tie with the accent of leopard.

I revisited Roccoya store which is temporarily opened until tomorrow, July 22nd at Laforet Harajuku. (my third visit...to be honest.)
Couldn't help trying on this beautiful ikat yukata!

I finally got to meet Aya Hasegawa who's an illustrator and also a kimono designer.
She was wearing a yukata she designed. Isn't it so cute???

Rainy season is finally over in Tokyo and full summer is here!
Who's ready to go out for festivals, beer gardens, and firework shows with me in yukata??

Thank you for reading.

::Twin Braids::

日本語ver. HERE

Quick and easy updo with twin dutch braids for any occasions.
This style can be recreated with medium to long hair.
In the very humid weather like Tokyo in this rainy season, updos are always a way to go to avoid getting your hair fluffy and messy.

I wore this updo for my "lime light" kimono look from the previous post.

Separate your hair in half.
Make a dutch braid on the each side and tie the end with an elastic.

Roll up each braid into a bun and pin it in place. And you are done!
I have long bangs and curled them with a hair wand.

In the humid weather, curls don't last long so updos are much easier for me.
It also keeps your hair away from your neck so that it feels much cooler than when having your hair down.

Thank you for reading.
