::New Year at Home::

日本語ver. → こちら

HAPPY NEW YEAR★Hope your 2017 will be amazing and full of love♡

I spent my New Year holiday at my parents house for 5 days.
The weather in my hometown was beautiful during my stay.

My friends who are also from my hometown gave me a ride from Tokyo. Thanks!

Reunited with the cutest little ones :)

Lucky and Miyako.
No need to say but... they conquer you with this cuteness.

On New Year's eve, I helped my mother cook Japanese traditional New Year dish "Osechi"(Wiki).

Steamed chicken rolls.

Simmered veggies and fish cakes. (Nishime)

Candied dried sardines. (Tatsukuri)

Each dish has a meaning, such as staying healthy, good harvest, happiness etc....
My mother is a good cook and make beautiful Osechi like this every year.
Everything goes well with sake. We love having some sparkling sake on New Year's day.

After celebrating the New Year with Osechi for breakfast, we visited the shrine to send some greetings.

My mother and I also climbed up the hill behind our house to visit the small shrine that she always visits every month.

This place used to be my playground for years when I was younger.

And it was my second time to spend the New Year's day in kimono.
The details on the look will be up here soon!

sea bream cooked in a salt crust.
Yumyum!
Another Japanese traditional dish for celebration.

Morning cuddle with Miyako.

How was your New Year holiday?

::Mood after Halloween::

日本語ver. → こちら

Feels like it is already winter! Where did autumn go?
I have some favorite tailored collar jackets to wear in autumn but missed a chance to wear them!

Leaves already started turning red in my hometown. Need to get some warm blankets out of my closet.

After the Halloween craziness, the cities are already in a holiday mood.

I miss warm weather....

But I still am taking surf lessons! Maybe this weekend is the last lesson before I will go back to the beach though..... It's too cold!!!

Window shopping day.

Fringe booties by Mollini

New black basic boots for daily use :)

Since my BOSE earphones broke, I was debating whether or not I will send it to the customer service to get new ones. When I went to the retail store, I found out these new wireless soundsport earphones were released at the end of last month and got these instead!
The sound is so great. I totally recommend these ones if you are looking for good wireless earphones. Also good for iPhone 7 owners since it doesn't have an earphone jack.

As the weather got a bit too cold to dive into the ocean, I decided to start Kaatsu training with my friends. Working hard for the next summer!!!

Although Kaatsu training does not require any change of eating habit, I've been trying to choose healthier food to get better results.

Pure Japanese food is the best eating habit!!

And.... homemade Danish bread. yuuuuum :)

And just one thing that's missing is this fluffy cuteness!
Meaw... ♡

Stay warm and stay healthy!

::African Festival::

日本語 ver. → こちら

Just a super ordinary Sunday.
After a dance practice with my friends in the morning, I headed to Yoyogi park to see if there was some festival going on there. (Usually they have some event / festival / flea market on every weekend. )
I found out they were having the antique market and African festival last weekend.

It was not as crowded as Thai festival which is so crazy with lots of people every year.

Found some funny items they sell on the street.

Cute shiba.

Hot dog truck.

When I got there, they were having a dance show on the main stage.

African food with beer, anyone?

Wall art.

It was such a beautiful sunny day during this rainy season.
Instead of African food, I was craving for something spicy....

Mexican food!!!
Spicy beef burrito with beer. Perfect :)

And.... this is nothing to do with the African fes but I just learned the recipe of delicious granola salad from my friend last week.
This salad will be my obsession for a while!

Thank you for reading.

::Delicious Spring::

日本語ver. → こちら

Good food makes your life so much better!!
I attended two different wine parties and learned so many delicious dishes at my friend's cooking lesson this month.

My friend and I were luckily invited to the Italian lunch party with nice wines on the other day.
The main chef who organizes this party twice a month used to cook for the four seasons hotel and the hotel New Otani. Every food he cooks is so good.

A variety of wines are served. I liked the red sparkling wine that they had.

I didn't get to eat this one..... darn it....

Risotto stuffed in green peppers! I need to know the recipe.

*Photos above are taken by my friend, Kiyomiya-san :)

It was such a gorgeous way to spend the Saturday lunch time.

Meaw.....

A couple of days ago, I went to my friend's place for a cooking lesson she has every month.

Perry the beautiful cat :)
She is so shy that I hardly could take a picture of her. But finally I got this cute shot of her this time. Isn't she so cute???

Anyways, we cooked 5 different dishes this time.

Spring rolls (triangles to be exact) with shrimp and cheese.

With Japanese basil sauce.

Stewed chicken and egg plant.

Seasoned rice with octopus. Yummy!!!!

Strawberry chiffon cake for dessert!

Quick and so easy.
Cooking is so much more fun when we share the fun time with friends.
I'm already looking forward to the next lesson in next month!

Last month, a new mall called "NeWoman" was opened by one of the biggest stations in Tokyo.
I had some little time to kill after lunch on the other day, so I was just browsing a bit inside the mall.

Blue Bottle Coffee :)

Fresh greens and chic furniture.

There weren't many things that are new... but the entire space was chic!
