::Amethyst::

日本語ver. → こちら

After the longest rainy season we had this year, the weather has been really hot in August. During the summer break, we had a plan to travel to Okinawa but the trip was cancelled because of the pandemic.

Instead of the summer trip to the southern island, we came up to the idea to stay one night at a luxurious hotel in Tokyo because it would be a rare experience for us living in Tokyo.

So we booked a room at Westin Tokyo in Ebisu. And made a reservation at a sushi restaurant they have.

At the main entrance of Westin Tokyo.

The room we stayed.
The king room with Tokyo Tower in the view.

Of course, it wasn't for any special occasion like anniversary or anything, but I really wanted to wear this brand-new summer formal kimono tailored for myself this spring. This was definitely the best timing for this kimono♡

Homongi (semi-formal) kimono in amethyst with diamonds.

The reason why I ordered this kimono is that the fabric is polyester and can be washed at home.
Summer in Japan has been getting warmer and more humid by year and it has been very uncomfortable to wear a silk kimono which cannot be easily washed or cleaned during summer.
I'm so happy to have an option to wear a washable kimono for formal occasions.

Love this beautiful gradation of purple.

Obi and small things added to the look.

In the garden of the hotel.

Zouris in the matching color.

The sushi dinner was amazing and delicious.
During this stay home period, there have been much less occasions to drink alcohol. But the pairing with white wines and sake was amazing.
After dinner, we had cocktails at the bar.
It was nice to have an unordinary day in Tokyo.

::Mood after Halloween::

日本語ver. → こちら

Feels like it is already winter! Where did autumn go?
I have some favorite tailored collar jackets to wear in autumn but missed a chance to wear them!

Leaves already started turning red in my hometown. Need to get some warm blankets out of my closet.

After the Halloween craziness, the cities are already in a holiday mood.

I miss warm weather....

But I still am taking surf lessons! Maybe this weekend is the last lesson before I will go back to the beach though..... It's too cold!!!

Window shopping day.

Fringe booties by Mollini

New black basic boots for daily use :)

Since my BOSE earphones broke, I was debating whether or not I will send it to the customer service to get new ones. When I went to the retail store, I found out these new wireless soundsport earphones were released at the end of last month and got these instead!
The sound is so great. I totally recommend these ones if you are looking for good wireless earphones. Also good for iPhone 7 owners since it doesn't have an earphone jack.

As the weather got a bit too cold to dive into the ocean, I decided to start Kaatsu training with my friends. Working hard for the next summer!!!

Although Kaatsu training does not require any change of eating habit, I've been trying to choose healthier food to get better results.

Pure Japanese food is the best eating habit!!

And.... homemade Danish bread. yuuuuum :)

And just one thing that's missing is this fluffy cuteness!
Meaw... ♡

Stay warm and stay healthy!

::Tea for Two:: (& summer fes.)

日本語ver. HERE

While I was in London, I was wishing to have traditional afternoon tea.
I thought it might be not so fun to do it without anyone to have a chat with,
so I didn't...
Some of luxurious hotels in Tokyo offer great afternoon tea
and we made a reservation at a lounge of Ritz Carlton in Roppongi.

First, we tried Mandarin Oriental hotel without any reservation,
and surprisingly all the seats were full around noon.
Now I'm curious why they all come here for afternoon tea.....

So... we changed the plan to Ritz, located at Tokyo Midtown.

The lounge was directly connected with the hotel concierge.
I loved the entire space with really high ceiling
and streaming sound which comes from fountains that they have inside.
Once you are seated, they come and show you a variety of teas that they have.
You can change the flavors anytime during your tea time.
My favorite is strawberry champagne.

To be honest... I was a little nervous.... haha
This experience was a bit out of my frame.

A pianist was playing in the middle of the lounge.
Loved chatting while hearing it and sounds of silverware.

Everything was so good :)
I liked their warm scones and mango tart.
We usually don't stay long at a restaurant
but it was nice to stay and talk with great smell of flavored tea.

OOTD for this day.

::Cooking Remedy::

I looooove cooking without measuring any ingredients.
My friends and I made Japanese curry on last Sunday.
This is the easiest recipe I've ever heard!

Cut and throw everything in a stain-less stew pan like this!!
Tomatoes, broccoli, potatoes, pumpkin, onions, egg plants, minced pork,
and curry blocks all together with no water, and heat them up.

Ta da!
It's super easy and healthy with lots of veggies.

For last couple of months,
I have tasty smoothie for breakfast almost everyday.
:: My favorite recipe ::
Flaxseed, blueberries, banana, Japanese spinach, apple and skim milk
This gives you a great start of a day.

On Sundays,
I usually make some food in stock for the next week.
Steamed veggies, fried eggs, simmered seaweed etc....

Cooking is great cause...
it makes you feel healthy!

There are a lot of easy recipes found online.
Starting from the easiest ones is a tip to make cooking one of your everyday habit.

::Early Bird Saturday::

Power breakfast with my bff, vol. 3!
We had a nice tasty morning at Eggcellent in Roppongi, Tokyo.

When I was drinking my coffee, I saw a warm message written inside of the cup.

"I really need a day in between Sat & Sun."
Yeeeeees....!
Their cups have variety of messages like this.

I ordered fresh fruit salad and yogurt, since I had a big Thai dinner the night before...
It was really nice and tasty for my stomach.

My friend had a full plate of yummy stuff.

After she left for work, I was chilling ourside of Roppongi Hills.
Had another cup of coffee and read "Bridget Jone's Diary 3".

The weather felt like it was already in middle of summer.
I don't want it to be grumpy rainy season....

I definitely love spending time under the sun!
