Because of the global pandemic, the exhibition "KIMONO" at Tokyo National Museum was postponed about two months.
Thanks to the invitation by "KIMONO BIJIN", I became aware of this postponed exhibition.
I asked some of my kimono friends to join me to see it in yukata or kimono.
To take measures to the COVID-19 situation, the museum set the maximum number of people who can enter by every 30 mins. The entrance reservation can be made online HERE.
The weather forecast was saying that it was going to rain that day. But luckily it didn't rain while we are outside.
Because of the reservation system the museum installed, the entire space was not so crowded and we could take time and slowly look around inside.
I wore a rainforest summer kimono.
ZIGZAG + BORDER with light blue tint.

The whole exhibition was so impressive and exciting.
They are currently fundraising for reproduction of antique kimonos with inkjet printing on silk fabric. Sounds so exciting!
This exhibition is definitely a must-see!
